MISSION

Help Us Fill Baskets

The idea is to fill baskets with things that would support these families fighting cancer, so they can have more time with each other. We want to fill the basket with practical items such as gas cards, restaurant cards, grocery cards, and fun things like movie gift cards, toy store gift cards, and massages for the parents, and anything to help serve the whole family.

ABOUT

Our Story

Baskets of love starts back in 1994 when my sister Monica Polanco was diagnosed with cancer of the muscle tissue.  Although she was 17, her diagnosis was considered a children's cancer and we were in the children’s cancer ward.  During her three year battle, we became a part of the all the families battling cancer and we lost many friends along the way.  It was heartbreaking.  Monica lost her battle to cancer in 1997.   As I was going through the grief process, I knew I wanted to find a way to support other families during those hard years of battling cancer. Hoping families can spend more time with their children and making sure the whole family feels supported.

About the Founder

Eva Polanco is one of five children in the Polanco family.  She is a Southern California native and received her BA in Intercultural Studies from Biola University. Shortly after graduating, she help start a successful family business and started a jewelry business of her own. Along with customer service, she brings a positivity that uplifts all those she comes into contact with. She loves helping people and must be involved with a purpose driven business to have fulfillment in her life. Baskets of Love is her passion coming from a heart that wants to help families through this difficult time.  On her down time she loves to listen to music, dance, journal, and connects with her close friends and family.
